Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake in Toronto!

So...starting from Monday, I started seeing "Uncle Tetsu's Grand opening" event on my facebook timeline, and naturally (as the stalker/creeper that I am ><) I went in the event page and started searching up on them!

Uncle Tetsu is a Japanese cheesecake specialty store with chain stores all over Asia, and guess what?.....THEY ARE HERE IN TORONTO NOW!
Here's a link to their site:

I've had all sorts of cheesecake in my life, living in Korea(Asian style) and in Canada(western style), and when I read reviews online that it's a fluffy and moist type of cheesecake, I just had to get some! I got quite sick of the dense, gooey type of western cheesecake, so moist and fluffy sounded yummm :3

The grand opening was on March 28, 2015 at 11am, and I got there right at 11am thinking this is Canada and there won't be much of hype about it...but I was wrong and found this long line up when I got there.

After waiting about an hour and a half, I had to leave because of class ;___;
So instead of their famous cheesecake, I got the rusk($6.99) and the madeleine ($2.22) which was more like cupcakes :P

Rusks...were...more like sugar cubes XD hard and very very sweet

Buttt when I got to my band practice at night, my band members were so nice and got THREE cheesecakes to share >_____< ahahahhaha
I was sosososo happy :D

So yup, fluffy and moist, just like the reviews, with a hint of cheese.
I really liked it and would go back to get more if there wasn't such a long line up :/
Cheesecakes were $10 (including tax, without tax $8.88) and cash only.

I actually got another one today with my sister...and the quality went down ;(
cakes taste more buttery and egg than moist cheese taste.
Guess they're too busy to quality control it well ;____;

FINAL VERDICT:
Good price for a nice fluffy cheesecake but NOT worth the two hour lineups they have right now. Just wait couple weeks and the hype should die down ;P
